Trango Redpoint Directional™ Carabiners are designed to be the easiest clipping, rope friendliest, raddest looking carabiners around. The sling bay keeps the 'biners lined up with the direction of the fall forces so they can't get cross-loaded. Unlike other captive-eye 'biners, you can replace your slings when they wear our or you want a different length. Hot-forging allows us to move more metal around during the forging process so you'll find a massive 11mm rope-bearing surface where most 'biners only have 9mm. This minimizes wear and tear on your ropes and reduces rope drag as well. It also allows for clip-friendly finger ridges and a deep well for speedy clips.
